FOR THE BEGINNERS

Q.Who
is Allah?
A. Allah is the only true god.
He alone created the entire universe and
everything that exists in it. He is the Living Being
who gave life to every living being. He runs the whole world.
What He wants, takes place immediately. There is no one
who can defy what He orders. He makes and unmakes
whatever He wills. Because
He creates everything, everything belongs to Him.
Moreover, as He has got power over everything, He
possesses everything. Therefore, He is the ultimate Ruler
of the entire world including the human species.
He exists by
Himself from the time beyond our imagination. He will
continue to exist by Himself for the time beyond our
imagination. Since He gave existence to everything
existing in the world, His Existence is necessary.
Therefore, He is called:
“Existent Necessarily” and also “Everlasting.”
His Being comprises
of all the attributes of perfection. Allah is the
proper noun of the true god comprising all the divine names.
When He Commands anything to “Be” and it “becomes”,
the very moment. His Command therefore, is the origin of
the essences of all existing things. Therefore, He alone
deserves to be worshiped as god.
Since, god gives life to every living thing, and all that is
required for a living, the human beings are bound to worship Him
alone, with love. And also to seek guidance from Him. The
wisdom and knowledge granted by Him to the humans is
limited. Therefore, the right way for them to live in His
world is to follow the way He has prescribed for them
through His Books, Messengers and Prophets:
They directed men and women to believe in Him, to worship
Him and to lead a life doing good deeds. They strictly
forbade humans to associate anybody or anything with Him
as god.
Hence, the phrase “La Ilaha Illallah” means there is
nothing worth worshiping but Allah.
In short, Allah is the proper noun denoting a being Who
is the only true god to be worshiped with love, and to be obeyed
with love, and to call upon for help in calamities, ordeals,
distress and thank Him for all His bounties. Fear Him
and His torment before doing a wrong thing and keep away
from it. And rush to do good deeds to seek His pleasure.
Try to remember Him all the times.
