The Bahr-e-Aam of Asad-Ul-Ulema Peer-o-Murshid Allamatul Asar, Hz Moulana Miyan Abu Sayeed Syed Mahmood Sahab Tashreefullahi RA, is on 9 Zil Haj and his Urs is on 10 Zil Haj, he was laid to eternal rest in Daira Hz Miyan Syed Yaseen RA, Qutbiguda (Kachiguda) Hyderabad.
He was the Founder General Secretary of ‘Majlis-E-Ulema- e-Mehdavia- e-Hind’ (The Supreme council of the Mehdavia Scholars of India) and ‘Darsgah Jaanashinan- E-Sajjadegan- E-Mehdavia.
Being the founder General Secretary of the ‘Majlis-E-Ulema- e-Mehdavia- e-Hind’ (The Supreme
council of the Mehdavia Scholars of India) he served with all his might in providing literature,
religious guidance and verdicts ‘fatwas were also passed on unclear issues for the benefit of
the community and mehdavis were guided with true mehdavia teachings and practices bounded
by the Aqida. Unitl he was alive he was regarded as a strong pillar of Mehdavia community.
He penned uncountable articles and booklets on the ‘Suboot-e-Mehdi AS, apart from the
Mehdavis even the Non-Mehdavia community use to count him as an undisputed authority
on the ‘Suboot-e-Mehdi AS and hardly any of them use to confront and bite the dust.
The Idara Tableegh-e-Mehdavia used to publish his articles in the leading Urdu dailies
of Hyderabad Deccan on the eve of ‘Milad-e-Mehdi AS.
During his time in ‘Darsgah Jaanashinan- E-Sajjadegan- E-Mehdavia, the well-known Scholar of the era ‘Mufassir-E-Quran ‘Tafseer-e-Saadath’ Moulvi Kamil Hz Khan Allama Moulana Mohammed Sadathullah Khan Sahab ‘Hosh’ Mando Zai RA used to conduct the examinations of the students. The Well-known Personalities of the Muslim Ummah like Professor Manazir Ahsan Gilani, Head Department of Religious Studies, Osmania University and Quaid-E-Millath Nawab Mohammed Bahadur Khan ‘Bahadur Yar Jung ‘Khulq’ RA etc use to visit and see the proceedings of the students and the institution.
His eldest son ‘Sani-e-Asad- ul-ulema’ Hz Peer-O-Murshid Moulana Abulfatah Syed Nusrat Sahab Tashreefullahi is serving the community from Chicago, USA. Among his Grand children including Ilyas Syed established the Chicago (US) based famous website of Mehdavia community www.mahdavia. com in the memory of his Late Grand father for propagating the teachings and practices of Imamuna AS also providing religious literature, community news, events, Ziarath, Sermons along with Moon sighting etc and due to their day and night efforts the site is also available on twitter and Mehdavia teachings are also available on facebook.Hz Peer-O-Murshid Moulana Syed Sarfaraz Mehdi Sahab of Kachiguda is one of his Grandsons.
